If you are operating your business from a home office you are entitled to claim expenses for items such as electricity, telephone calls, Internet access and maintenance etc.

The best way to ensure that you are getting all the deductions that you are entitled to is to employ the services of a reputable Certified Practicing Accountant.

If you try to claim these items when doing your own tax return you may be missing out on some of the expenses you could be claiming as a tax deduction. The cost of an accountant is also a deductible expense on future tax returns.
